Cooking Dinner :)

Today, we decided we were both hungry for summer salads....so I made a huge pasta salad and a huge potato salad, and then we had taco soup for dinner. There was a bit of an accident while cleaning up dinner; somebody left a tupperware lid (a bright red plastic) on a burner :) And...plastic melts :D So before we knew it, there was melted plastic all over the burner. Therefore, we did the only logical thing we could think of, and turned the burner back on to melt it off!

We ended up leaving the apartment quite quickly as both our eyes and noses began to run. (Burning plastic doesn't smell so great!) And it catches fire. The flames were 3 or 4 inches high...which was really cool until the fire alarms went off :)

We both have new callings-I'm the new Primary Chorister in the ward, and we'll wait to tell Paul's until he is officially sustained-but he can't wait! We're both really excited. Paul's studying for the MCAT; we just finished all of our Thank You Cards today. We are so blessed!!!

Much Love,

One Month!

Tomorrow, we will have been married for a month!! It's been a great month-we've spent time in Yellowstone National Park, Island Park, Cedar Hills, Utah, and Paul, Idaho. We've had so much fun decorating our new home together-Paul is an expert at hanging pictures. :)

We decided to start this blog for several reasons.

  • It will force us take more pictures to post!
  • People can keep track of us...
  • We'll spend time together updating it
  • We'll remember how blessed we are!!

We plan on having lots of adventures!!! :) Paul made his first trip through Yellowstone National Park, I almost got run over by my own lawnmower (As I was mowing the lawn), and we've turned our apartment into a home! I've been a bajillion places doing all the paperwork to change my last name, and we're pretty much done with all the grown up things like purchasing insurance-at least for a while.  Paul's working at a Research Lab on Campus, and I'm working on thank you cards this week! We're headed to Paul for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary this weekend...In a few weeks, we are headed to work at the Minidoka County Fairgrounds in Rupert, Idaho to work at the rodeo, and we get to see all of our Davis family again at our first Dan & Shauna Davis (and family) Reunion!!! Life is Great :)
